This is the homepage of the Metro Omaha Support Group, a local chapter of the Autism Society of Nebraska.
Autism Speaks
Autism Speaks is dedicated to funding global biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for autism; to raising public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society; and to bringing hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disorder. We are committed to raising the funds necessary to support these goals.
Autism Spectrum Disorders Network
The Nebraska ASD Network provides consultation and develops and disseminates information focused on building the capacity of school districts, families and communities to support children across the autism spectrum in typical school, home and community settings. The Nebraska ASD Network does not promote one method or a single approach. Information and training on a variety of strategies and treatment methods are provided so educators and family members have the resources to address the specific needs of each child from the date of diagnosis to age 21.
Families for Effective Autism Treatment (FEAT) of Nebraska
FEAT of Nebraska believes that newly diagnosed children with autism should receive intensive, quality, effective treatment that is based in research. FEAT's mission is to provide education to families and the community on effective autism treatments, and to provide support to families seeking effective treatments for their children on the autism spectrum.
Munroe-Meyer Institute
The Munroe-Meyer Institute for Genetics and Rehabilitation (MMI), on the University of Nebraska Medical Center campus, provides a unique range of services for individuals with disabilities. The Munroe-Meyer Institute provides comprehensive medical and related health care services through interdisciplinary clinics and evaluations, or single discipline assessments and treatment. These services are provided within MMI, at the Nebraska Health System, in outreach clinics in the Omaha area, and throughout Nebraska.
